Privacy Policy

Effective July 10, 2026

Dr. Tara Perry (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates consulttara.com and related client portals (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and business details submitted through forms, applications, or bookings.
  • Session notes, questionnaire responses, and other content you send us.
  • Payment details processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).

We also collect limited technical data automatically: IP address (hashed), device and browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. Cookies and similar technologies are used for essential functionality and privacy-respecting analytics.

2. How We Use Information

  • To deliver, schedule, and follow up on sessions and consultations.
  • To respond to inquiries and provide client support.
  • To send transactional messages (booking confirmations, session reminders, portal notices).
  • With your consent, to send occasional updates, resources, or event invitations.
  • To improve site performance, security, and content.

3. SMS / Text Message Communications

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of the SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Information sharing to subcontractors (for example, our messaging platform provider or CRM) in support of the messaging service is permitted; those subcontractors are prohibited from using your mobile number or opt-in data for their own marketing.

If you provide your phone number and opt in, we may send appointment reminders, follow-ups, and account-related messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for assistance. See our Terms of Service for full SMS terms.

4. How We Share Information

We share information only with:

  • Service providers that host our website, process payments, send email, and operate our CRM — under contract and only as needed to run the Services.
  • Legal or regulatory authorities when required by law.
  • A successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above and to meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. Session-related clinical notes are retained per applicable professional standards.

6. Your Choices

  • You may unsubscribe from marketing email at any time via the link in any message.
  • You may opt out of SMS by replying STOP.
  • You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@consulttara.com.
  • California, EU/UK, and other regional residents have additional rights under applicable law (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR/UK GDPR). Contact us to exercise them.

7. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, access controls, and vetted subprocessors. No system is perfectly secure; report suspected issues to hello@consulttara.com.

8. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
